FOSP (Friends of St Paul’s)
Welcome to the Friends of St Paul’s Parent-Teacher Association.
The Friends of St Paul’s (FOSP) is an essential and active part of our school community. All parents and teachers are automatically members and we depend on the entire community to help us support our school. Please have a think about anything you could offer: time, contacts, knowledge, supplies, ideas or just support and enthusiasm – you don’t have to commit long term or come to meetings, and it is also a fun way to meet other parents.
FOSP is a registered charity that is made up of parents, teaching staff and an elected committee who organise events and initiatives order to:
- Raise funds to benefit all children attending the school
- Build and maintain a fun and active social community within our school
While some events (such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Movie Night and discos) are repeated, we try to introduce variety with new or ad hoc activities designed for children, adults or entire families. This has included a Treasure Hunt using ipads and high-tech clues to go racing all over the common is search of ‘treasure’! The range of events and activities that we are open to holding are very much dependent on our (and your!) time and imagination!
We recognise that everyone is busy, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with suggestions even if you can’t commit much time. Please contact our chair, Leila Cutler, at chairman@friendsofstpaulsschool.co.uk , your class rep or leave a message at the office. We’d love to hear from you!
Recently, we have raised money to increase the school stock of ipads and ipad stations; resourced new books; enable workshops in multi-cultural dance; enable a travelling pantomime to perform at school and enable a theatre production to celebrate World Book Day and promote a love of reading. Our current projects involve resourcing materials to support different areas of the curriculum - such as musical instruments - and more new books for every class.
