Our out-of school care

Splat AM: Breakfast Club – Monday to Friday, from 7.30am

Splat PM: After School Club – Monday to Friday, after school till 6.15pm

We are open term-time and usually keep to the same term dates as St. Paul’s School.

Lunch Club/ Extended Lunch Club: Monday – Friday. Children attending St. Paul’s School Nursery can attend our Lunch Club which is from 12pm finishes either at 1.30pm (Lunch Club) or 3pm (Extended Lunch Club). At 3pm children can either be collected or stay on for Splat PM.

Current fees

All fees are per child, per session.

  • Splat AM: £6.20 per hour. As breakfast club is open for 1.5 hours, the first half hour from 7.30am is charged in two 15 minutes segments at £1.55 per 15 minutes until 8am. Parents can book from 7.30am, 7.45am or 8am. For example, the fee from 7.45am would be £7.75. This is to help keep fees down for parents.

  • Splat PM: £6.20 for the first hour, then £2.30 per subsequent half hour period. For eg. for a child collected at 4.30pm, the fee would be £8.50. Again, this helps stop parents having to pay for parts of hours that they are not using.

  • Fees are charged monthly, in arrears. All booked sessions are chargeable unless at least 24 hours written notice is received (email is fine). If no notice is received an absent fee of £4.20 per session, per child will be charged.

  • Meals: Breakfast and tea are optional and charged at an additional £1.50 per child, per meal. Parents need to let us know at booking if their child or children will need a meal.

  • NB. Snack of fruit and a biscuit are available at Splat PM and are included in the fees.

Lunch Club/ Extended Lunch Club

  • Fees are currently £7.25 for Lunch Club and £14.50 for Extended Lunch. Fees are per session, per child and charged termly in advance. All termly booked sessions are chargeable for the term. The only sessions that would not be chargeable would be if we are not open.

  • We offer 3 and 4 year funding and the 30 hours funding for eligible children.

  • Parents of Nursery children who are eligible for the 30 hours funding can use their additional 15 hours with us as we share the provision of the scheme with St. Paul’s School.

Payments:

  • We accept online payments, childcare vouchers, Tax Free Childcare or cash.

  • If paying by Tax Free Childcare, parents need to tell us the payment identifier number so we can match the payment to the account correctly.

About Splat AM & PM

Chipperfield Out of School Care’s home is the Small Hall just outside the school gates, familiar to many children from their preschool days. Our close connections to the school provides unique continuity of care and ensures that our free pick-up service is straightforward and safe, without any additional travelling required. It also enables us to provide a free pick-up service from extracurricular school clubs, so children do not miss out on these opportunities. In addition, older siblings join younger children who have attended our Extended Lunch Club sessions (Mon – Thurs, 12pm-3pm) so siblings can be cared for in one setting together. Children can attend from 2 years until 11 years.

Our enthusiastic and experienced staff team are committed to providing children with a quality after school experience though a range of stimulating and interesting activities for children of all ages in a safe and nurturing environment. These include art and craft activities, games, puzzles and a range of resources that stimulate children’s imagination and creativity, such as clay modelling, construction and small world play. We have a cosy area for reading and homework and relaxing. In addition, children have direct access to a safe outside space where they currently enjoy games, climbing and other outside activities.

To accept a child into our groups, we only require a completed Registration Form which can be collected from us at the Small Hall or emailed to you on request. For children attending Lunch Club who are eligible for the 30 hours funding, we will also need a completed Parent Declaration. Parents do not need to book all five days, they can book which ever days they need (spaces permitting).

If you have any queries or would like to book places for your child or children we would love to meet you so please contact us on 01923 262830, by email @ chipperfieldpreschool@hotmail.com or just pop by and see us (we are open all day for our Preschool and Lunch Club sessions).
